Audience applications have opened for TEDxNewYork 2016!

Audience applications have opened for TEDxNewYork 2016, happening Saturday, September 10, 2016! This year’s theme is “Down the Rabbit Hole.” Join us for a journey through New York’s most interesting ideas, with some of the city’s most interesting people.

TEDxNewYork is your ticket to undiscovered worlds. It's an inspiring meeting of creative minds, curated for a community of fascinating, diverse, and provocative New Yorkers. We’d love you to apply to be part of this special audience.

To get you even more excited, here's just some of this year's speakers:

Chris Jackson, an editor who breathes life into the works of visionary African-American writers

Adam Galinsky, a social psychologist who thinks deeply about how we work with and against one another to achieve our goals

Youngna Park, a product developer who builds beautiful apps for kids

Rebecca Brachman, a neuroscientist working on the first drug that might prevent psychiatric disorders like depression and posttraumatic stress disorder

Mark S. Luckie, a digital strategist who works to promote diversity and cross-cultural dialog in the media

Muneeb Ali, a computer scientist building a fairer internet with new ways for users to own their own data

Yale Fox, an activist who is standing up to corruption in our housing rental system

Allison Bishop, a computer scientist at the US’s newest public stock exchange

Stephanie Spellers, an Episcopal priest who fuels “radical welcome” in churches across the US

Read more about the speakers and our program in the coming weeks on this blog. We’re super excited about our program (and the beautiful artwork that goes along with it, thanks to our agency and design partner, TBWA), and we hope you are, too.

Don't just tell your friends from work to apply; tell your neighbors. Tell that guy at the coffee shop who's always reading books on astrophysics. Let's get every interesting person from New York in one room, and see where our imagination takes us.

“Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Join us at TEDxNewYork 2016 to celebrate the ways New Yorkers are innovating, investigating, and (re-)imagining reality.
